Happy Last Sunday of 2025, Reader I had a whole plan for this final email of 2025. I was going to write a strategic "Year in Review," share my top 3 investments, and give you a rah-rah motivational speech for 2026. But the universe had other plans. Today, for the first time in a long time, I am knocked flat. I havenโt been this sick in years. Iโve spent the entire day doing absolutely nothing, no charts, no renovating, no optimizing. Just resting. Itโs ironic because the last week has been wonderful. We spent the holidays in Oakville with my mom, dad, brother, and sister-in-law, niece and nephew and then drove up to Prescott for three lovely days with Katie's family there. It was exactly what the holidays should be: filled with friends, family, and laughter. But I think my body waited for the finish line to finally let go. My resting HR took a huge spike, and I woke up feeling like I was Jake Paul after fighting Anthony Joshua. I have written this newsletter every single week for 52 weeks straight (and for the last 3 years). Consistency is my superpower. Breaking the routine feels wrong. But as I lay here, I realized this is actually the perfect final lesson of the year. We are not machines. As healthcare pros, we are wired to push through. We treat the patients, we run the clinics, we manage the portfolios. We wear "busy" like a badge of honour. But sometimes, your body pulls the emergency brake to remind you that your greatest asset isn't your real estate, your business, your crypto or your stock portfolio; itโs you. So, my final advice for 2025 isn't about interest rates or tax loopholes. Itโs this: Protect the Asset. Take the rest. Sleep the extra hour. Say "no" to the extra shift. Iโm going to take my own advice, close my laptop, and go back to sleep. Thank you for being here for all 52 weeks of this journey. Your attention is the most valuable currency I trade in, and I appreciate every single open, click, and reply. See you in 2026, when Iโm back to 100% ๐ค๐ฝ Happy New Year! ๐ฅ โ โ@financiallyfulfilledpro and Certified Financial Counselor CFCโข Do you get value from these weekly emails?โ |

Reader. I am officially back in Hamilton after an incredible weekend in Mexico. Swapping the beach for the February cold is always a harsh reality check, but we have a lot of ground to cover today. While I was away, the final receipts for the rental renovation came in (yup, more than I anticipated- I forgot how much this type of labour costs), the official inflation data dropped, and Iโve been testing some new automation tools that will save you serious money this year. ๐ Market Update:...

Reader. It was a massive family affair last night in Toronto. We got the whole crew together: Katie's parents (Lesley and Randy), her brother Mike and his family (Ca and baby Orion). We were hosted by Julie's (Katie's other brother Matt's wife) parents Nelly and Dale. I ended up chatting with Dale for a solid hour (as one does after a few glasses of wine) about everything from politics to the economy. But one topic kept coming up: "Is the money actually going to be there when I need it?" Dale...
